The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) announced the 2021 Solver teams and fellows participating in the MIT solutions for Social Impact Competition. Iris Solution’s SensoryREADY was among the selected 5 solutions for the equitable classroom challenge, and the only Palestinian and MENA-based project to get selected for this year.
The challenges this year were represented in five main areas: Digital Inclusion, Equitable Classrooms, Health Security & Pandemics, Resilient Ecosystems, Antiracist Technology in the US, Indigenous Communities. 1,800 solutions participated in this year’s call, of which 43 participants get selected as a Solve Fellow and solutions to address the global challenges.
Solve launched the Equitable Classrooms Challenge and asked innovators across the globe: How can all young learners have access to quality, safe, and equitable learning environments? Solve’s Equitable Classrooms Challenge received 514 applications from 83 countries globally, each with a unique and innovative approach to the present and future of education.
The sensoryREADY as a solution for Equitable Classrooms challenge
The SensoryREADY, is an innovative solutions that enables easy creation of friendly spaces for education and rehabilitation. It’s a tool that turns any space into a sensory experience in a matter of minutes. The user (a child, teacher, therapists, or parent), can change lights, music, visuals and sounds. The sensoryREADY is loaded with extensive audio and video libraries. Along with, interactive educational content. Currently, there are more than 70,000 children and adults benefiting from the SensoryREADY system in schools, kindergartens, centers, and hospitals in five countries around the world.
