Iris receives H. H. Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award in Kuwait

Selected as one of the Top 5 Tech companies in the Arab world, Iris Solutions received His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah 2016 Informatics Award, the most prestigious award of its class in Kuwait.

During the ceremony sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, 10 awardees hailing from 7 countries and representing both the public and private sectors were honored as the top information technology projects in the Arab world. The judging panel included top ICT experts and government representatives. On behalf of Iris Solutions the reward’s trophy was received by Mr. Mohamed Nanish, co-founder and operations director. Palestine won two awards: the private sector category award to Iris Solution and the start-up category award to Project Swift Brill. The remaining awards went to companies from Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE and Egypt.

This award is the 7th international award received by Iris in a period of three years, among them King Abdullah II’s Youth Creativity and Accomplishment Award in 2015 and Google Award for Entrepreneurship in 2014. Iris was also honored at Stanford University in the US in June 2016 for its work in the assistive technology field.

Iris Solutions is a Palestinian L.L.C. registered in 2010, operating in the field of custom interactive & touch technology. In 2013 Iris ventured into the area of assistive technology to quickly become the leading provider of sensory environments in Palestine through the provision of innovative solutions catering for socially vulnerable groups. Over the past three years, Iris designed and implemented more than 35 sensory environments across Palestine. In 2015, Iris brought about a technological-breakthrough with the successful development of a technology that can transform a conventional room into a complete sensory environment in a plug-and-play fashion.
