Interview at Baby Zone Nursery
Children in schools and rehabilitation centres are not the only ones who benefit from the sensory environment. The sensory environment in nursery can also benefit young children. It stimulates all of their senses and helps them develop their skills. The purpose of this interview is to explore the role of the sensory environment in the development of children’s sensory, cognitive, and cognitive skills in nurseries and kindergartens.
About the Nursery and Interview
This interview took place at Baby Zone Nursery in Nablus. The nursery was founded in 2017. It offers daycare services to children aged two and a half to four years. sensoryREADY, light table, space bags, and sensory oil tiles are among the sensory products and tools provided in the nursery.
There are 45 children in the nursery. The nursery offers a developmental plan to help children transition to kindergarten. The teacher divides the children into three sections based on their age. The program includes cognitive, cognitive, psychological, and motor materials. The nursery employs eleven teachers. Three teachers were trained in the use of sensory tools. The trained ones supervise work in the sensory environment and teach other nannies about it in the nursery and kindergarten.
The interview used semi-structured questions to conduct with the teacher, Wasila Dawaya. Where the teacher has spent three years working in the nursery. The interview included Eighteen quantitative and qualitative questions.
The sensory environment in the nursery contributed significantly to the development of children’s sensory, cognitive, and perceptual skills, according to an interview with the teacher. Parents experienced remarkable growth as well.
Sensory Enabled Classes
The standard session within the sensory environment lasts sixty minutes. Children are gathered in sensory environments in groups of no more than ten at a time. The group spends about twenty minutes with each sensory tool: relaxation with the sensoryREADY, play with the light table, and movement activities with the space bag. This is accomplished by switching between groups.
According to the teacher, the sensoryREADY plays the contributes to the process of children’s development and skill improvement through educational content. In addition to the ease with which the system’s contents can be merged. During the session, the sensoryREADY offers an easy way to draw children’s attention to the desired exercise or skill.

This activity is entertaining, educational, psychological, and kinetic at the same time. Older children use the table to write, colour, and mix colours in their drawings.
The teacher wears a space bag with the children in the motor activity classes, encouraging them to move in a coordinated and collective manner. She mentioned that she uses oil tiles for children with excessive movement to do walking and jumping exercises. The exercise on the oil tiles improves the child’s concentration and ability to follow the teacher’s instructions.
The nursery follows an educational curriculum through play with the children. The nursery’s sensory environment is an ideal setting for this. In addition to its contribution to creating a relaxing environment through the use of lighting, music, and sound effects.
